A lively contemporary community and a great place to be
Sitting along the sinister colours of the Thames river and only a paper plane throw from Tower Bridge lies this now lively community. However it wasn't always that way. Having been bombed heavily in WWII, then with the decline of the capital's river trade, Bermondsey lay derelict until the rock and roll years of the 80s.
The transformation of the wharves and warehouses into trendy apartments was the seed to turn this community around. The result is a unique mixture of shops, offices, trendy apartments as well as an independent cinema and antique markets that all contribute in their own way to create an area that is rich in history, culture and style.
